DEXTER - Carl Rose, 88, died Dec. 17, 2002, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

Born March 3, 1914, in Marmaduke, Ark., son of the late William and Lura Kimmitt Rose, he had been a press operator and inspector for Elders Manufacturing before retiring in 1976, after 43 years of service. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Dexter for the past 60 years.

On April 29, 1939, in Dexter, he married Elizabeth Nash who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Carlene Hartle of Dexter; two sons, Jim Rose of Cabool and Joe Rose of Dexter; two sisters, Altie Corlew and Ida Cowan of Dexter; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Roger Wooten of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
