Jim Boston
SIKESTON -- James Thomas Boston, 76, died at 11:49 a.m. Jan. 15, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 3, 1926, in Sikeston, son of the late John C. and Nettie Ann Cauthran Boston, he was a member of the Miner Baptist Church and had been a line superintendent for R.E.A. in Sikeston. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
On Oct. 4, 1947, in St. Louis, he married Dorothy Marie Gardner who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Marie and Norman Glaus of Cape Girardeau, Janette Susan and Jim Thornsberry of Sullivan, Judith Ann and Rusty Stewart of Cape Girardeau and Lori Jane and Tim Romine of Cunningham, Ky.; one sister, Nellie Ann Lambert of Sikeston; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of the Miner Baptist Church, will officiate with assistance by Jim Barnhart, associate pastor.
Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.
