Mary Lou Medlin
NEW MADRID - Mary Lou Edwards Medlin, 68, of New Madrid and Germantown, Tenn., died Jan. 1, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born July 21, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Walter Scott and Rachel Murphy Edwards Jr., she was a homemaker, farm manager and certified public accountant. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and Lamplighters Class in Memphis, the First United Methodist Church in New Madrid, United Methodist Women in Memphis and New Madrid, board member of the New Madrid Historical Museum and Women in Agriculture and member of the Emmaus Community, LeBonheur Club and the Josephine Circle.
Her husband, T.W. "Ted" Medlin, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Melinda Lea Medlin of Nashville, Tenn.; and two sons, Walter Scott Medlin M.D. of Yakima, Wash., and Steven Taylor Medlin of Los Angeles, Calif.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in New Madrid.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with Richards Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
