Arlene Duty
EAST PRAIRIE - Arlene Scarboro Duty, 63, died at 5 p.m. May 21, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 22, 1938, at Macon, Ga., daughter of the late Turner and Carrie Young Scarboro, she lived in East Prairie for many years, where she attended Victory Baptist Church.
On Sept. 10, 1991, she married Edward Morgan who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Shelton Long of East Prairie; seven stepsons, Edward Morgan Jr. of Buckeye, Ariz., Dennis Morgan and Danny Morgan of Sikeston, David Morgan of St. Louis, Dale Morgan of Riverside, Calif., and Clifford Duty and Fred Duty of East Prairie; two stepdaughters, Diane Cain of Charleston and Debbie McCurter of East Prairie; one sister, Betty Renew of Martinez, Ga.; and two grandchildren, 23 stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 17 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, seven brothers, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
