Ted Rainey

ADVANCE - William "Ted" Rainey, 81, died May 22, 2002, at his home.

Born Aug. 8, 1921, in Advance, son of the late Charles and Lula Raver Rainey, he was a retired farmer.

On July 1, 1944, in Greene County, Ark., he married Bernice Murphy who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four son, William L. Rainey of Cape Girardeau, Harold F. Rainey of Auxvasse, James D. Rainey of Glen Allen and Dennis W. Rainey of Kennett; three daughters, Dorothy Lewis of Sikeston, Brenda Boyer of Advance and Kathy Meesakul of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Lowell Rainey of Georgia and Willard Rainey of Advance; one sister, Francis Sobba of Auxvasse; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate.

Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park.
