Cecil Strachan

SIKESTON - Cecil E. Strachan, 46, died May 18, 2002, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield.

Born April 30, 1956, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., son of Minnie L. Fluellen Strachan of Sikeston and the late Cecil E. Strachan Sr., he was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.

His wife, Judy Hargrove Strachan, survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: two daughters, Teshonda Craven and Tia Strachan of Rochester, N.Y.; one son, Joseph Smith of Rochester; two sisters, Dianne Jackson of Sikeston and Margo Blakeof Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Timothy Strachan of Rochester and Kenneth Strachan of Washington, D.C.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Demond Smith.

Services were conducted Wednesday at Shady Acres Church of Christ with Patrick Hogan, associate minister, officiating.

Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
