Brenda Marshall

EAST PRAIRIE - Brenda Joyce Marshall, 60, died at 1:40 p.m. Jan. 2, 2003, in Beverly Health Care in New Madrid.

Born June 29, 1942, at East Prairie, daughter of the late John Edward and Gladys Amanda Monroe Bonta, she had lived all of her life near East Prairie.

On April 22, 1968, she married Herbert Lee Marshall who survives of the home.

Other survives include: one son, Herbert Lee Marshall II of East Prairie; one daughter, Stephanie Matheney of East Prairie; one brother, Bruce Bonta of East Prairie; two sisters, Evola Lynn and Mildred Ziegenborn of Sikeston; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Bonta, Bob Bonta and Buddy Bonta; and two sisters, Opal High and Earline Sterling.

Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Williams, Brad Hequembourg, Charles Jackson, Scott Bryant, McIvan Jones and Gene Thresher.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Sam Oliver, Homer Oliver, Terry Hequembourg, Harvey Hutcheson, Carlin Hutcheson John Joe Bryant, Kelly Barker, Junior Bennett and Milas Mainord.
