SIKESTON - Elizabeth Catherine Stidham Hawkins, 39, died Jan. 2, 2002, at St. Louis University Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Born Aug. 28, 1963, in Alton, Ill., daughter of Ernest E. "Pat" Stidham Sr. and Shirley Emerson Stidham of Sikeston, she graduated in 1982 from Scott County Central High School. She was a waitress at Danny's Place for 10 years and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

On Aug. 4, 1989, in Sikeston, she married Jerry D. Hawkins who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include: two sons, Jeremy Hawkins and Zachary Hawkins of Sikeston; two daughters, Kelsie Hawkins and Sidney Hawkins of Sikeston; two brothers, John Stidham of Marion, Ill., and Ernie Stidham of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters, Tish Smith of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Marilyn Stidham of Key West, Fla.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. Monday until time for a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Stephen Schneider, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, will officiate.
