Jimmie Summers
SIKESTON -- Jimmie Lee Summers, 70, died at 6:09 p.m. Jan. 4, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 30, 1932, in Chaffee, son of the late Leo and Violet Gore Summers, he was a parts exchanger in the International Shoe Factory Maintenance Department in Sikeston and member of Christ Gospel Church in Blodgett.
On Dec. 29, 1954, in Holly Springs, Miss., he married Coy Mae Standridge who preceded him in death on May 28, 2001.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Fay and Wayne Johnson of Sikeston, Brenda Kay and Jeff Bon'e of Dewy Rose, Ga., and Pamela and Jimmy Dodds of Sikeston; two sisters, Audrey Sterling of Mayfield, Ky., and Shirley Finney of Windfall, Ind.; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Joe Crawford, pastor of Christ Gospel Church, will officiate, assisted by Danny Rice.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Standridge, Timmy Smiley, Eddie Summers, Jimmy Dodds Jr., Freddie Dodds and Jamie Sterling.
