Mildred Gibson

DEXTER - Mildred Mae Gibson, 91, died Dec. 12, 2002, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.

Born April 17, 1911, in Bloomfield, daughter of the late James and Mary Nola McDaniel Davenport, she was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter.

On July 5, 1930, at Dexter, she married Grover Wilson Gibson who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Eugene Gibson; one daughter, Wanda Eloise Gibson; two brothers, Doyle "Bud" Davenport and William "Buster" Davenport; one sister, Juanita Hall; and one grandson an one great-grandson.

Survivors include: one son, Harold Gibson of Dexter; one daughter, Helen Hall of Dexter; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Vyron Yount and the Rev. Phil Warren will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
