Ethel Bonee
PORTAGEVILLE - Ethel Bonee, 76, died May 21, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 21, 1925, in Hardin, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John E. and Rose Worley Carroll.
On June 3, 1942, in Corinth, Miss., she married Gilbert Bonee who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, J.C. Bonee of Blytheville, Ark., Gene Bonee of Ragan, Tenn., and Ray Bonee of Portageville; seven daughters, Marie Champion of Germantown, Tenn., Anna Sills of Portageville, Doris Brown and Wanda Kay Little of Charleston, Brenda Bonee and Ruth Ann Bozell of Sikeston and Kathy Miller of Point Pleasant; one brother, B. Wesley Carroll of Portageville; four sisters, Bertha McCasland of Portageville, Faye White of St. Louis and Mary Ferrell and Ann White of Savannah, Tenn.; and 38 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Bonee on Aug. 15, 1965; two brothers, Fred Carroll and John Carroll; and three sisters, Ada Davis, Flora Gray and Irene Bonee.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday with Hershel Godair, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wardell Cemetery.
