James Stewart

PORTAGEVILLE - James Stewart, 72, died Dec. 9, 2004, at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Born Sept. 28, 1932, in Portageville, son of the late Fred and Neva Lane Stewart, he was a pilot for the Army Corps of Engineers.

Survivors include: two daughters, Jeanette Harper of Point Pleasant and Jamie Parris of Portageville; one brother, Lindol Stewart of Portageville; and four grandchildren, Robert Harper, Megan Fisher, Jana Fisher and Kali Parris.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Stewart and H.C. "Bo" Stewart; and one sister, Marceline Cook.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at DeLisle Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Leland Butler will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
