SIKESTON - Barbara Lee Tackitt Rigsby, 72, formerly of Warner Robins, Ga., and Dexter, died May 15, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 5, 1930, in Newton, Ill., daughter of the late Burriss Everett and Myrna Lee Tackitt, she was a beautician and former owner of a dimestore in Dexter and a store in Bloomfield. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Bootheel Regional Art Guild.

On Oct. 8, 1948, in Angola, Ind., she married Maurice Lavern "Vern" Rigsby who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Tammy Rigsby of Anderson, S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Suedekum of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren, Jamie Suedekum and Kelly Suedekum of Cape Girardeau and Rodney Rigsby and Brant Rigsby of Anderson, S.C.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Matthew Butrum, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Marvin Butrum.

Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Tim Chappell, Robert Cooper, Frank Brown, David Jackson, Shawn Ward and Bill Cashmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be: John Butrum, Kenny Riddle Sr. and Kenny Riddle Jr.
