Hazel Royal

SIKESTON - Hazel Parthenia Royal, 87, died at 6:18 p.m. Oct. 29, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born March 27, 1915, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late Wiley G. and Clara S. Stafford Stewart, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Tallapoosa.

On April 16, 1932, in New Madrid County, she married Kern Royal who preceded her in death in 1969.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Shirley Royal of Horton, W.Va., and Curtis and Loraine Royal of Lance, Mich.; three daughters, Lucy Duvall of Bull Shoals, Ark., Lois Meese of Tallapoosa and Judy Wingfield of Frankfort, Ill.; one sister, Bonnie Cole of Farmington; and 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

One brother, two sisters and two grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with Jim Chappell officiating.

Blanchard Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
