Effie Frazier

PORTAGEVILLE - Effie L. Frazier, 81, died Oct. 29, 2002, at the Portageville Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 2, 1921, in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Marian and Mamie Faye Qualls Williams.

Her husband, Dewey Franklin Frazier, preceded her in death on March 21, 1998.

Survivors include: one daughter, Hazel Durbin of Portageville; two sisters, Evelyn Barrier of Columbia, Tenn., and Faye Hawkins of Portageville; one stepbrother, Andy "J.B." Smithson Jr. of Osceola, Ark.; and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Ratcliff, Estell Wright and Babie Williams; three brothers, Hershell Williams, Herman Williams and Harry Williams; and two grandsons.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
