Ronald Harris

MATTHEWS - Ronald "Ronnie" Harris, 60, died Oct. 22, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 11, 1943, in Morley, son of Dolly Erladean Harris of Matthews and the late Levi Clifton Harris, he was a member of the Matthews Church of Christ. He was a farmer until retiring in 2002.

On June 7, 1968, he married Bonny McConnell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda and Chuck Mayes of Sikeston, Sara Beth and Mark Hovis of Fredericktown and Amy and Ben Judson of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada; three brothers, Bill Harris of Jonesboro, Ark., Fred Harris of Matthews and Noel Harris of Columbus, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Alex Mayes and Aaron Mayes of Sikeston, Carter Hovis, Nolan Hovis and Lily Hovis of Fredericktown and Christian Judson and Benjamin Judson of Brandon, Manitoba.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Garry Harris.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. Jimmy Colvett, minister of the Matthews Church of Christ, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.
