Franke Woods

MERCED, Calif. - Franke Mae Woods died Dec. 7, 2004, in Merced.

Born in Missouri, she was a school teacher for more than 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star where she served in various offices including past matron. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association and University Women.

Survivors include: one son, Jack Brown of Illinois; one daughter, Dorcy Honza of Merced; one sister, Shirley Hammock of Missouri; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon to 5 p.m. today at the Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Chapel.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andrew Bear officiating.

Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
