Bud Layton

DEXTER - Harold "Bud" Layton, 75, died Feb. 21, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born June 9, 1926, in Malden, son of the late William B. and Elsie Tuttle Layton, he was a construction superintendent for Brown Construction in Dexter for 25 years.

On May 18, 1944, at Piggott, Ark., he married Luella Cannon who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandie Layton of Dexter; three brothers, Bill Layton and Jerry Layton of Dexter and Fred Layton of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Marguerite Burke of Dexter and Francis Russell of Crystal River, Fla.; and one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Clifford Wray officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
