Cora Masters

SIKESTON - Cora Bell Masters, 95, died at 6:55 a.m. Feb. 25, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Feb. 10, 1907, in Princeton, Ky., daughter of the late William and Sarah Couch Harbison, she worked at the Sikeston Laundry and Dry Cleaners for 20 years and had been employed by the El Capri Restaurant and Rustic Rock Inn. She was of the General Baptist belief and attended Smith Avenue Church of God.

On Sept. 6, 1926, in Sikeston, she married Everett Masters who preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1977.

Survivors include: four sons, Everett Masters of Marble Hill, Norman "Babe" Masters of Modesto, Calif., Lonnie Masters of Sikeston and Frank Masters of Stanford, Va.; three daughters, Corene "Sissy" Harnish of Decatur, Ill., Barbara Legate of Granite City, Ill., and Carolyn Hunt of Blytheville, Ark.; and 39 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, three brothers, four sisters and four grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Avenue Church of God with the Rev. Ira Sandefer, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
