Ruth Parks
BLOOMFIELD - Ruth Cooper Parks, 100, formerly of Vanduser, died May 27, 2002, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Bloomfield.
Born Oct. 24, 1901, in Comanche, Texas, daughter of the late Wesley and Joanna England Cooper, she was a member of the First Church of God in Vanduser.
Her husband, John N. Parks, preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1994.
Survivors include: three daughters, Nadine Partain of Advance, Lorine Griffin of Bloomfield and Opal Bezold of Phoenix, Ariz.; and 14 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Virgil Bunch, a retired Methodist minister, and the Rev. Kevin Eskew, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Bloomfield, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
