Clarence Parr
MOREHOUSE -- Clarence Russell "Pop" Parr, 72, died June 1, 2002, at his home.
Born Oct. 20, 1929, in East Prairie, son of the late Andy and Monica Lee Lowery Hutton Parr, he had lived in Morehouse most of his life and was an alderman at the time of his death.
On July 5, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Naomi Casey who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Kerry Lee Parr and Gary Dewayne Parr of Morehouse and Timothy Gayle Parr of Sikeston; two daughters, Ruth Ann Helmes and Sharon Rowell of Matthews; two brothers, James A. Parr of Albany, Ga., and Jimmie Dale Parr of Fredericktown; and 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Russell; and one brother, Paul Parr.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
