Marie Burns
SCOTT CITY- Marie Burns, 85, died at 8:54 p.m. died May 13, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 19, 1916, at Elizabethtown, Ill., daughter of the late John and Leona Harris Curry, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Scott City.
On Dec. 24, 1932, in Jackson, she married Orville F. Burns who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1993.
Survivors include: four daughters, Ann Culbertson of Jackson, Sue Tyler and Connie Killian of Scott City and Pat Hampton of Chaffee; one sister, Lula McFall of Dexter; and eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Visitation will continue from noon Thursday until service time at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Scott City. The Revs. Randy Morse and Charles Lance will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
