Arthur Cagle
SIKESTON -- Arthur G. Cagle, 92, died at 10:15 a.m. May 13, 2002, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.
Born March 3, 1910, in Lobelville, Tenn., son of the late William Thomas and Mattie Jane Gunter Cagle, he lived in Scott County most of his life and retired as a salesman with Harris Auto Sales in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the Charleston Church of Christ, where he served as treasurer and song leader for many years.
On Sept. 25, 1932, he married Clyde Lee May who preceded him in death on July 12, 1991.
He was also preceded in death by one son, William Garfield Cagle; and one granddaughter, Willena Garrlett Cagle.
Survivors include: one daughter-in-law, Patsy Morgan Cagle of Sikeston; and three grandsons, Joe Cagle of Seminole, Fla., Art Cagle of Blytheville, Ark., and William Christopher Cagle of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Bill Bradley, minister of the Morley Church of Christ, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Todd Cates, Don Cates, Dan Bell, Henry Schiwitz, Ulyess Freeman and Dempsey Graham.
