Lameta Kingston
PORTAGEVILLE - Lameta Lovine Kingston, 74, died April 4, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 31, 1927, in Lilbourn, daughter of the late Charles William and Madie Wilson Upson, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
On Oct. 11, 1947, she married Frank Kingston who preceded her in death on June 3, 1980.
Survivors include: four sons, Franklin Andrew "Andy" Kingston of Dexter, David Wayne Kingston of Ellsinore, Darrell Kingston of Parma and Brian Kingston of Hayti; six daughters, Virginia Persfull of Bloomington, Ind., Emma Nell Marshall of Portageville, Brenda Thomas of New Bloomfield, Judy Jones of Hoxie, Ark., Vickie Lynn Orton of Livingston, Wis., and Mary Sue Kingston of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Louise Toles of Memphis, Tenn., Arzine French of Portageville and Renova Armolea of Eagle, Idaho; and 29 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at DeLisle Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Inman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
