Sylvester Kellum

NEW MADRID - Sylvester Kellum, 52, died Feb. 17, 2002, at the Beverly Healthcare Center in New Madrid.

Born May 6, 1949, in New Madrid, son of Alberta George Kellum of New Madrid and the late Eugene Kellum, he was a farmer.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: one son, Andra Patterson of Marston; one daughter, Lannie Patterson of St. Louis; six brothers, Nathaniel Kellum, James Kellum, Henry Kellum, Calvin Kellum and Shelton Kellum of Chicago, Ill., and Luke Kellum of Decatur, Ill.; five sisters, Bernice Hamilton, Mary Nails, Sharon Fay Gordon and Cathy Kellum of Chicago and Peggy Jones of Rex, Ga.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. at Richards Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
