James Cornell

MOREHOUSE - James Harrison Cornell, 92, died April 16, 2002, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

A retired time-study analyst at Himmelberger-Harrison, he was active in New Madrid County politics and was a former mayor of Morehouse. Also he was a member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Eastern Star.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cornell.

His wife, Lucille Cornell, preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Bill Cornell and Henry Cornell.

Survivors include: one daughter, Betty Cornell Edrington of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Carl Cornell of El Paso, Texas; and two granddaughters.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rauch-Spence Methodist Church in Morehouse where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with Bartlett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
