William Johnson
LILBOURN - William Johnson, 69, died April 21, 2002, at his home.
Born Jan. 12, 1933, in Baltimore, Md., son of Goldie Harvey Davis of Baltimore and the late William C. Johnson, he was of the Baptist belief and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a foreman for American Smelter for 20 years and a supervisor for Mayflower Moving and Storage for 15 years.
On Nov. 21, 1988, he married Jurdean Martin who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, the Rev. Vincent E. Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepsons, Barry Martin of Lilbourn and Richard Martin of Indianapolis; three stepdaughters, Sheila Coon of Anchorage, Alaska, Linda Ervin of Indianapolis and Fredah Martin of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Ralph Johnson of Baltimore; and 20 stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday until service time at 1 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn.
Burial will follow in the Simmons Burial Park at Catron.
