Mildred Hayden
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Mildred V. Williams Hayden, 85, died at 7:40 p.m. April 21, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 21, 1916, at Morley, daughter of the late Eli F. and Mabel Shell Williams, she was a homemaker. A member of the Cape Girardeau Garden Club, she was a volunteer at the St. Francis Hospital, the Teen Challenge and the Glenn House Gift Shop as well as a volunteer tour guide at the Historical Old St. Vincent's Church. Affiliated with the Old St. Vincent's Church, she was a member of the St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women.
She was married to Anderson L. Hayden, who survives of the home in Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are two daughters, Beth Garoutte of Cape Girardeau and Nancy Hayden of Fairlee, Vt., and one grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
Visitation is from 3:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Old St. Vincent's Church in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
