Amy Winchester
ADVANCE - Amelia Jean "Amy" Rhodes Winchester, 43, died Dec. 27, 2002, in Fayetteville, Ark., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Dec. 18, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Bill E. and Jean F. Rhodes, she was the Middle School counselor at Woodland R-4 School District in Marble Hill for the past year and a half. She formerly served as counselor for the Advance School District. Amy was past president of the southeast Missouri School Counselor Association. Among other positions on the governing board of the organization, she was a former president-elect and treasurer and current newsletter editor. She was also a past member of the governing board for the Missouri School Counselor Association and member of the Advance United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Abby Winchester of the home; one sister, Kathy Kinder of Sikeston; and one brother, Billy Rhodes of Advance.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. today until time for a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. The Rev. Tom Zych will officiate.
