Mary Wood

CHAFFEE - Mary Bernice Wood, 72, died at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 27, 2002, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 28, 1930, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Albert Gustess Jackson and Pearlie May Thrasher Miller, she retired as a machine operator from the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau.

Her husband, Joseph Wood, preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1983.

Survivors include: two sons, Gary L. Wood of Chaffee and Rick Keesee of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Deborah Gramlisch of Chaffee; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

One brother also preceded her in death.

Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at Union Park Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Trankle officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.
