Mamie Dell

POPLAR BLUFF - Mamie Pearl Dell, 95, died Nov. 17, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 22, 1908, at Moark, Ark., daughter of the late John "Bode" and Tillie Jane Strong Avery, she was of the Baptist belief.

On April 5, 1927, at Corning, Ark., she married Charlie M. Dell who preceded her in death on July 14, 1975.

Survivors include: two sons, Delmar Gene Dell of Ellington and Jerry W. Dell of Imperial; two daughters, Violet Clemons of Imperial and Peggy Baker of Dudley; and 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one brother, Elmer Avery; and three sisters, Pauline Garr, Mable Tebby and Lura Dell.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Earl D. Dell and the Rev. Phil Warren will officiate.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Williams Cemetery in Arkmo, Ark.
