DEXTER -- Marcia Mays Beeson and Mark Woollums exchanged wedding vows in a 5 p.m. ceremony Oct. 4, 2003, at the First Christian Church in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Emogean Mays of Sikeston and the late "Dick" Mays, and her husband is the son of Pauline Novy of Alton, Ill., and the late J.L. Woollums.
Song selections for the ceremony included instrumentals by Kenny G, the "Bridal March" and "Have You Ever Been in Love" by Celine Dion.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Anthony Beeson, and Carlene Tinsley of Sikeston served her friend as maid of honor.
Ray Woollums of Dexter, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
Guestbook attendants were Katelyn Lang, great-niece of the bride, and Amber Gamachas.
A reception was held at the Dexter Elks Lodge Banquet Room, where music was provided by Vertigo Sound Systems of Dexter. Cake and punch was served by Tabatha Lang, niece of the bride and Amy Beeson, daughter-in-law of the bride. Food coordinator was Carlois Holmes, sister of the bride.
Following a honeymoon trip to Branson and Bull Shoals Lake, the new Mr. and Mrs. Mark Woollums are making their home in Dexter.
