SIKESTON - Grace Marie Sitzes, a senior, has filled the vacancy left on the Barker staff by the resignation of Phil Bowman. She is active in school affairs and is a member of the Red Peppers. Grace has been contributing to the Barker regularly by writing articles and editorials.
SIKESTON - After months of argument and discussion, the city council voted a curfew ordinance in an effort to curb juvenile lawlessness in the late hours of the night and made parents and/or guardians liable for infractions of the curfew by their teen-aged children.
SIKESTON - Students from the Calvary Temple Kids Korner Day Care center marched Monday to raise about $150 for the local March of Dimes.
