Lucille Patterson

NEW MADRID - Lucille Patterson, 87, died Sept. 10, 2002, at her daughter's home in New Madrid.

Born April 1, 1915, in Lamar, Ark., she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Margaret Burton Reynolds. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Lilbourn as well as an avid and talented quilt maker.

Her husband, Lawrence M. Patterson, preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1987.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Laverne and Frank Hadder of New Madrid; one son, Edward G. Patterson of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Terry and Cindy Hadder of New Madrid and Deborah Jowers of Sylacauga, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Kristi Hadder of New Madrid and Jack Edward Jowers of Sylacauga.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Lilbourn with the Rev. Don Stephens, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.

Pallbearers were: Hollis Patterson, Mearle Patterson, Larry Patterson, Larry Dale Patterson, Dolan Reynolds and Gaylon Reynolds.

Honorary pallbearers were: Tom McClarty, T.J. Woods, Richard "Dick" Weeks, William "Bill" Jones, Joe Albright and Mrs. Patterson's nephews.

Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
