Melvin Felty

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Melvin J. Felty, 72, died Feb. 12, 2002, at his home.

Born Jan. 19, 1930, in Benton, son of the late Oda and Zora Dell Wagoner Felty, he was an assembler for the Chrysler Corporation in Fenton and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by three sisters, Opal Cook of Oran, Gloria Weinberger of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Zella Story of Chaffee.

No visitation or services are scheduled.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
