George Lovins
DEXTER - George Daril Lovins, 68, died May 28, 2003, following a lengthy illness.
Born April 16, 1935, at Moccasin Hollow, son of the late Hollie Andrew and BelaMae Jordan Lovins Printz, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter. He owned and operated C&L Orchards in Dexter.
On Oct. 16, 1993, he married Lynda Dowdy who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Randy Lovins of Dexter; two daughters, Sharon McCord of Dexter and Lisa Clark of St. Louis; one stepson, Damon Dowdy of Cape Girardeau; one stepdaughter, Dana Lovins of Dexter; one brother, Harley Glinn Lovins of Salem; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Lovins-Osborn; and one infant brother, Arley Lovins.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Fred Leist will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
