CHICAGO, Ill. - Lucy Wilkins, 55, formerly of Haywood City, Mo., died Oct. 17, 2003, in a Maywood hospital.
Born April 18, 1948, in Scobba, Miss., daughter of Martha Sheron of Sikeston and the late Jeffero Adams, she lived in Chicago since 1966. She was employed by the Motorola Company for 17 years and was a member of the United Baptist Church of Chicago.
In 1961, she married Clarence Wilkins who survives of Chicago.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: two sons, Wesley Wilkins of Maywood and Rondel Wilkins of Bellwood; five sisters, Ella Richardson of St. Louis, Katie Tate of Markham, Lucille Wiley of Chicago and Martha Ann Sheron and Laura Williamson of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Wednesday until service time at noon at the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City. The Rev. Henry Clark and the Rev. Alex Sims will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Haywood City Cemetery.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home of Howardville, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
