Leon Gosnell

CHAFFEE - Leon Gosnell, 69, died at 9:40 a.m. March 22, 2002, at his home.

Born July 9, 1932, in West Frankfort, Ill., son of the late Odus Harold and Anita Bertha Hess Gosnell, he worked at Thorngate Ltd. and then at Florsheim Shoe Factory in Chaffee until retiring.

On Sept. 3, 1955, he married Lavonne Henley who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, James Gosnell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Danny Gosnell of Commerce; one sister, Anna Marie Clary of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One daughter and one great-grandson preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Charles Tennison will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.
