BERTRAND - Richard Eugene "Rick" Williams, 57, died at 6:15 p.m. Aug. 28, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 28, 1946, in Acorn Ridge, son of the late James E. and Mary Jane Stephens Williams, he was of the Baptist belief. He was a self-employed master wood crafter and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era.

On April 27, 2003, in Cape Girardeau, he married Karen McCullough who survives of the home.

He is also survived by one stepson, Justin Cannon of Linn; and one brother, Jim Williams of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Eskew, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bertrand, will officiate.

The Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites at the Dexter City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Stanley Byrd, Darrell Jones, Danny Freeland, Danny Naile, Boss Woodard and Ricky Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be: L.D. Stidham, Charles Campbell, Dr. Paul Clark and Bud Shell.
