Kathryn Savage
COMMERCE, Texas - Kathryn Ann Savage, 76, died at 7 a.m. Aug. 25, 2003, at her home.
Born Jan. 26, 1927, in Diehlstadt, Mo., daughter of the late Atlas Bell and Coena Stone Summers, she lived in Commerce since 1972. A retired officer manager for the physical plant at East Texas State University, she was a member of the Psychology Club and Dames Club.
On Nov. 24, 1960, in Charleston, Mo., she married Dr. Keith Dwight Savage who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Savage of West Fork, Ark., and George Savage and Steve Savage of Commerce; two sisters, Frances Welch of Diehlstadt and Billie Russell of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Commerce with Dr. Bobby Tollison and the Rev. Johnnie Henderson, officiating.
Burial followed in the Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
LyBrand-Pemberton Funeral Home of Commerce was in charge of arrangements.
