Harry Linebaugh

EAST PRAIRIE - Harry H. Linebaugh, 96, died at midnight May 28, 2003, at his son's home.

Born Sept. 18, 1906, in Mississippi County, son of the late Samuel and Nina Brooks Linebaugh, he was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 19, 1936, he married Ruth Helen Baker who preceded him in death on July 5, 1977.

Survivors include: one son, David Linebaugh of East Prairie; one daughter, Delores Richardson of Harrison, Ark.; one stepson, Joe Baker of Sullivan; two brothers, Marshall Linebaugh of Cape Girardeau and Theodore Linebaugh of Charleston; one sister, Evelyn Harp of Nixa; and seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, one stepson, three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. Larry Smith and the Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
