Bill Patterson

DOGWOOD - William "Bill" Patterson, 48, died at 8 a.m. Aug. 12, 2003, at his home.

Born Oct. 5, 1954, at Columbia, Tenn., son of the late Hewitt and Louise Hicks Patterson, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was employed in the maintenance department at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

On Sept. 22, 1972, he married Shelia Ann Pritchett who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Christy Patterson of East Prairie; one brother, Hewitt "Sonny" Patterson of East Prairie; and two sisters, Elizabeth Morton and Jeanett Patterson of Birmingham, Ala.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Patterson and Johnny Patterson; and one sister, Patricia "Pat" Eledge.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
