Willis Middleton
DEXTER - Willis Edward Middleton, 86, died March 12, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 18, 1916, in Dexter, son of the late James Henry and Eva Sanders Middleton, he was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter. He was retired from the State Highway Department and a former member of the Liberty Township Board.
On Sept. 6, 1936, in Dexter, he married Charlene Temples who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Ann Stroder of Dexter; two grandsons, Todd Stroder and Blake Stroder; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Stroder and Blake Ryan Stroder.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James M. Middleton and Dalton Lee Middleton; and two sisters, Mildred Kincy and Nell Followell.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Andrew Lovins will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
