Maxine Rampley

DEXTER - Maxine Rampley, 69, died June 16, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born Dec. 27, 1932, in Zadock, daughter of the late Archie Lee and Mayme Melvina Lewis Proffer, she had been employed by the Brown Shoe Company in Bernie. She was a member of the Stoddard County Democratic Women's Club and Stoddard County Historical Society.

On May 25, 1973, at Zadock, she married Charles Wayne Rampley who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Melvina Jane Bolin of Essex; one brother, Lee Proffer of Bloomfield; one grandson, Brian Overbey of Bloomfield; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield.
