Allan Meers

DEXTER - Allan D. Meers, 74, died June 16, 2002, at his home.

Born Feb. 24, 1928, at Danville, Ill., son of the late William Alfred and Emily Babbs Meers, he was a track repairman for Conrail Railroad before retiring and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include: one son, Stephen Meers of Dexter; one daughter, Patricia Medlin of Risco; and one grandchild.

Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
