Jim Fox
DEXTER - Jim Fox, 74, died June 16, 2002, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.
Born Sept. 17, 1927, at McCamey, Texas, son of the late Claude and Emma Ivy Fox, he retired as a chief boatswain's mate in the U.S. Navy and was a retired agent with the Butler County Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and Dudley Community Church.
On Sept. 27, 1949, at Yuma, Ariz., he married Juanita Reed who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, James L. Fox and Gene Robert Fox of Dexter; three brothers, Herman Fox of Granbury, Texas, Norman Fox of Dallas, Texas, and George Fox of Rising Star, Texas; three sisters, Wanda Jacober of Anderson, Calif., Linda Pancake of Breckenridge, Texas, and Berniece Williams of Eastland, Texas; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Fox and Claudie Fox; and one sister, Lucille Harrigal.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Donald Morgan will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
