SCOTT CITY - Gary Francis Stubenrauch, 60, died at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12, 2003, in Van Buren. Born Feb. 20, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Bernard George "Barney" and Coena Anna Bucher Stubenrauch, he was a conductor with the Union Pacific Railroad. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, he was also a member of the National Rifle Association, Eagles Clubs in Cape Girardeau and Sikeston and the United Transportation Union of Railroads...

SCOTT CITY - Gary Francis Stubenrauch, 60, died at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12, 2003, in Van Buren.

Born Feb. 20, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Bernard George "Barney" and Coena Anna Bucher Stubenrauch, he was a conductor with the Union Pacific Railroad. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, he was also a member of the National Rifle Association, Eagles Clubs in Cape Girardeau and Sikeston and the United Transportation Union of Railroads.

On Oct. 6, 1962, he married Barbara Faye "Bobbie" Wolfe, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three daughters, Leslie Simmons, Shelly Huckstep and Sonja Westrich of Scott City; one brother, Lonnie Stubenrauch of Advance; one sister, Donna Bell of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren.

He loved experiencing the outdoors with his grandchildren and teaching them about nature. His love for life will be missed by family and friends, especially by his three daughters. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Coon, officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
