Charlene Crain

SIKESTON - Charlene Brookshire Crain, 88, formerly of Paducah, Ky., died at 12:45 a.m. March 26, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

The daughter of the late Samuel Luther Crooks and Louanne Fisher Crooks, she had worked as a waitress and was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louie Gilbert Brookshire and second husband, Jewell Nelson Crain.

Survivors include: one daughter, Wanda Nell Tomlinson of Sikeston; two sons, Terry Brookshire and Don Brookshire of Boaz; and nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Three sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home Lone Oak Chapel, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday. Wade Tomlinson and Dan Owen will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Kenton Cemetery.
