Voneita Myracle
BERTRAND - Voneita L. Phillips Myracle, 73, died at 11 a.m. Sept. 21, 2003, at her home.
Born May 28, 1930, in Bertrand, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Nelson and Edna Hurley Phillips. She lived in Mississippi County all her life and owned and operated Ronnie's Trading Post near Wyatt until retiring. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bertrand.
On June 13, 1946, she married Claude A. Myracle who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1998.
Survivors include: one son, Ronnie Myracle of Valdosta, Ga.; three daughters, Claudeen Russell of Bertrand, Sondra Jones of Charleston and Doneita Myracle of St. Louis; one sister, Patsy Abernathy of East Prairie; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
One brother, Jesse Layton Phillips, also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Jim Eskew, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bertrand, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Doc Baker, Jim Baker, Bobby Burke, David Hurley, Nicky Woods and Shawn Woods.
