NEW MADRID - Lila Mae Farrenburg, 79, of the Farrenburg Community, passed away Nov. 29, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Lila was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Chickasha, Okla., to William and Ada Mae Snow. She grew up in Arkansas and later moved to Missouri and wed Paul "Buck" Farrenburg on Aug. 20, 1945...

NEW MADRID - Lila Mae Farrenburg, 79, of the Farrenburg Community, passed away Nov. 29, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Lila was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Chickasha, Okla., to William and Ada Mae Snow. She grew up in Arkansas and later moved to Missouri and wed Paul "Buck" Farrenburg on Aug. 20, 1945.

Lila took pride in her role as a farmer's wife and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a seamstress, cook, gardener, carpenter, artist, poet, collector of antiques and lover of the outdoors. Her adventures of hunting polk will long be remembered. Lila was a life long member of the Farrenburg Church of the Brethren in Farrenburg.

She is survived by her husband, Buck, and their children and spouses: Janet and David Hall, Larry and Cindy Farrenburg, Wanda Dale and Lee Naas, Danny Farrenburg, Tim and Martha Anne Farrenburg, Wayne and Debbie Farrenburg and other loved ones, Carolyn, Lynn, Kathy and Dana; three sisters, Vivien Robertston, Mary Chism and Betty Phillips; two brothers, Robert Glenn and Joe Snow; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Lila was preceded in death by one son, Garry Farrenburg; three brothers, Milburn, Wilburn and Bill Snow; one sister, Jessie Sparks; and Martha Anne's son, Barton.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Harold Gass officiating.

Burial will follow at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Daniel, Mark, Adam, Logan and Jeffrey Farrenburg and grand-nephew, Skyler Neal.
